I'm the same, I've been able to park the MacBook upstairs, with my external monitor and sound card plugged in pretty much permanently and stop iocking about shifting it and the power supply all over the house.
The ipad comes everywhere with me and any notes, bookmarks, emails etc I create are all there on both devices. I was really unsure pre purchase, but I'm so glad I took the plunge...
