Got my cat spayed last month. The vet says it's stiched on the inside but there's 2 stitches outside to keep things together and stable. They should be gone in two weeks though if they're not you should come back in.
Of I go with my cat (sans cone). 1,5 days later .. no more stitches to be seen. Her bald patch is slowly starting to grow back now.
