The mod community will keep it going for years. Both FC2 and 3 have fantastic editors.
Most of FC2's irritations were fixed by modders. I can't wait to see what they do with this game. The link I posted above has already given the game a breath of fresh air.
And the flare gun is indeed awesome..gif)
