I have experienced in the USA, that speaking about eating horse meat, is like speaking of fucking a dog. The people there seem to really have a connection to horses which is much closer than here in Switzerland. Probably because the whole wild west culture and a horse is as much a best friend to a man like a dog.
So is that the same in the UK then? seems like it from the outside.
Here in Sitzerland eating horse meat is very common. Not on a weekly basis, but from time to time. It is normal and good. of course there are a lot of people in Switzerland who don't eat horse, but the ones that do aren't looked at in a bad way. It is more normal and accepted here.
