Can we put a different spin on this question. Instead of asking why people pre order, why not ask what is wrong with pre ordering?
I will shop around a bit and nearer releasse time I will pre order GTAV. I have played every single GTA game from the original top down all the way up to GTAIV and have really enjoyed every single one. I know I will love the game. I will get the game for pretty much the same price as in the main shops. I may pay a couple of quid over or under, you can never tell until it is released. As I said earlier, some supermarkets will do some weird deal like spend £50 on shopping and get it half price. Anyway, I will get the game delivered to me on release day, possibly the day before. I have paid pretty much the same price as everyone else that is eager to play it and probably got some exclusive content/download code or some persuasion. I haven't had to que up at midnight to make sure I get it. I know people that have qued for a couple of hours to get a C.O.D game at midnight as hey have been known to sell out. I have also had trouble buying popular games on the way home from work on release day as every where selling at decent prices had sold out and I either have to wait a few days or pay through the nose. So how exactly do I lose out by pre ordering. How has the person queing at midnight to get the game without my pre order sweetener got a better deal than me?
