The best games made on iOS, mobile etc are no match for the best games made on consoles.
They are, however good enough. Good enough for people who want gaming on the go. See how the vita is struggling and how the 3DS is failing to make the same inroads the DS did. Sometimes cheap is enough.
nintendo execs must be praying to whatever god they have to stop apple releasing an IOS box because when they do, its over.
The entire IOS ecosystem on a reasonably powerful box and with a decent joypad? Its the end for them.
It is quite typical of gamers to dismiss IOS games out of hand as inferior experiences. For some people, thats all they want and they are being given it by the truck load.
Its like audiophiles whining about the fidelity of MP3. People dont give a shit. They want something cheap, easy and convenient.
