Never been convinced by Mourinho as a coach when he has to attack, especially in the big games. His teams always prefer to play on the break. That's one reason why Benitez's Liverpool did so well against his Chelsea, because they'd sit back home and away, not giving them a chance to counter and then it's a case of who can nick a goal or penalties.

They created little from open play tonight, the saves De Gea made were ones you'd expect him to make apart from the Coentrao one which was world class.

They've scored plenty in La Liga but that's because the gap in quality is so big. Even then, the matches they've lost have usually been because they couldn't break down the opposition and conceded on the break or a set piece.

I expect Ferguson will have Utd sit back at OT, put the onus on Madrid to attack and back his team to shut them out and hit them on the break. I make Utd 60/40 favourites at 1-1.

Good game though, tense and absorbing. Referee bottled the Evra decision though and blowing early at the end was stupid, apart from that he was good.
