I'm failing to see what's bad about a console manufacturer making it so I only have 1 device to switch on to access content. Seriously, why is it a bad thing that my 360 can access YouTube, Netflix, Lovefilm etc? My bloody Virgin TiVo box is exactly the same, as are smart TVs. It's standard techy convergence, and I fail to see how it's just MS doing it.
As for the direction their games have taken - well they did want to release last year, but held off due to the poor economy. So maybe, when they actually announce something, there'll be games to justify, and a lot of eating crow, as usual?
Honestly, we won't really know what we're in for until at least E3. These announcements will be a whole lot of demos and maybe a look at the hardware, but the real meat will be June.
