Lincoln - 6/10
DDL, great as always, and the only redeeming feature in an otherwise bland affair. Just felt like it skirted over things without much detail, and what was detailed is likely a twisted aspect of historical fact. One or two things raised a suspicious eyebrow from my knowledge of the period.
Killer Joe - 6/10
Who the hell recommended this again ? Average at best, with a flimsy plot and a somewhat menacing McConaughey that's a tad underplayed. Ansel (Thomas Haden Church) was probably the only likeable character in a cast of people you'd never want to meet. Even the fetching mentalist.
