Been doing an essay for my degree on supermarkets and their impact on the high street while all this was going off. Made it kinda hard to stay unbiased when the news was "Jessops/Clintons Cards/JJB Sports/Comet/HMV are closing/entering administartion/downsizing"...
I'll be sad to see HMV go. One of my first wage packages went on a £150 spending spree there, of DVDs and CDs by the bucketload. Heck, went in just before Xmas for the 5 for £30 Blu-Ray offer. And now... collapsing like a house of cards. Like the rest of my city centre, it seems.
