Best console for me would have to be the original Playstation, so many good games but the main thing that stood out for me would be discovering FFVII. These days I can see that FF7 has many faults and the story was batshit crazy but it introduced me to the whole concept of RPGs so I can't slate it too much. I played all of the Command & Conquer games on it too using a link-up cable with a good mate of mine, happy days pummelling the shit out of each other. He never did understand why my massive army of Light Tanks always trumped his relatively smaller armies of Mammoths.
I played that little grey bastard till I was forced to turn it upside down just to get the disk working. Does anyone else remember the T-Rex demo? As a 13 year old, it blew me away!
