Saw Valencia on the list. Was really nice, spent a few months working there. Not sure what it's like on the pull as I was with someone but my mates did ok.
Florence is a bit of a couples place, but it's also lovely - think the night life is a bit gash but it definitely has culture, bars and cafes.
If you just want to get shanted and look at some titties I always liked Prague.
