It's not the console that has failed but Sony that has failed to support it. The hardware is extremely well designed and there are a lot of great games out for it. But Sony just haven't marketed it well enough and have not had its best developers working on it.
I understand they are struggling financially at the moment. But I can't help feel that if they taken the risk and threw their support behind from launch, it would have made a killing.
