In terms of art style I sort of agree, though it had worn thin by second DS game that resurrected it.
Funnily enough, WW's artstyle came in for bigtime outcry at the time and was severely divisive. The modern acknowledgement of it's brilliance is fairly recent.
Similar with Majora.
Critically they were both hits to the best of my recollection, but by god they pissed off franchise fans.
Hence why I said I prefer it. Maybe some have warmed to it over time.
