I actually continued playing out of curiosity - to see how much harder it would be. Apart from a couple of dumb moves (I still can't parry; that dragon will still kill you...) I didn't run into any trouble yet. Enemies do deal a whole lot more damage, but if they can't hit you that's no real issue 
It'll be interesting to see how long I will continue in NG+, this is the first time a game has intrigued me this much to just continue...
