@elstoof Get as big a memory card as you can afford - particularly if you're going to get a PS+ sub (which it'd be foolish not to).
As to whether you're being foolish, it's difficult to say. There doesn't seem to be too much on the horizon, but there's a decent catalogue of games already and obviously the PSP/PS1 back catalogue too.
