Method Ive found that works is to come up to the tree in a wheelie and hit the brake, as long as you're in the right angle you quickly drop under the tree

trust me I wouldnt knock it, nothing better in trials than finding a technique that works for you. I was so proud of the wheelie flip, i used at the start of Rollercoaster in the last comp (think I was the first to use it and now a lot of the top replays use it)
