I also keep the original names, but I will give new (and more appropriate) nicknames, if the computer assigned nicknames are lame. For example, I had to rename my Korean sniper "Barn Door" after some very frequent and costly misses. And I dubbed my support Scotsman "Clutch" after he nailed some absolutely critical low probability shots to save team members who were caught with their pants down.
