It's not that hard really. You die tons but once you realise dying doesn't really mean anything, it's not so bad. The enemies don't respawn so you're always making progress, the only really tough points are bosses, since they get all their health back if you die during.
I'm not going to be making progress when I can't get past a cluster of enemies in a story mission because I keep dying and their health respawns, Second Winds being ruled out because of the crazy HP of even the normal enemies . All the while having no money because of the constant New You usage.
That's a wall, not progress.
