Same applies to anyone who believes in god (any god) then? You’ll pat them on the head in a patronising way or dismiss them as woolly minded?
It’s not really any different. Only the scope of the belief is different, and in the case of believing in ghosts completely trivial. Seems like a minor thing, but belittling any personal belief which doesn’t affect you is a pretty rocky path to take in my opinion.
