The Dr's advice is to turn off all electronic equipment at least an hour before bed in order to let the mind begin the cycle of rest. Also, it's an idea not to use VDU's while in bed as it can disassociate your bed from the act of sleeping from a psychological point of view. At least that's what I can remember
