    not neccesarily. if you have been eating you will retain the muscle mass and you would need a lot longer than eight days off to lose muscle. obv the 'pump' feeling will go which may be more of a mental thing.

    i found that after going heavily for eight months. taking two weeks off i actually lost fat and increased muscle size. partly due to good diet but the body does respond to a rest as much as the gym sometimes
