It is a bit bizarre- it moves them to the SD card while transferring, so I was expecting to have to move them back from SD card to system memory again on the new XL.
Ah well, all sorted now.
What was also a little frustrating was that I finally saved up enough stars for the Zelda statue on club nintendo, after 5 years and 40+ games, and it's not even on there anymore. Still, the Mario Kart trophies look quite cool, might award myself one....gif)
