How RPG do they have to be? Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light would fit, but it's a bit of an action/puzzle game with very limited RPG elements.
Why don't you want drop in/drop out games like Lego Star Wars? It would allow you games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata etc.
