I used patches countless times for quitting and they helped a lot but I'm now on the Nicorette Quick Mist and it works for me. It gives you a big wallop of nicotine whenever you get an urge, and kicks in almost immediately
Tastes like shit, but worth a try for any heavy smokers. Gives a slight burn at the back of the throat which is kind of satisfying after you get used to it.
Much cheaper on ebay or amazon also, if anyone fancies giving it a try
