If you dare roll through like you would on a yield because you have a clear view and there blantantly is nothing coming from anywhere for miles, you'll end up with a copper popping up to give you a telling off/ticket.
Not if you've got rental plates, or maybe that was just a nice cop. The "Pull over" on the cop car PA, followed by "Not there! Pull over where it's safe to do so" would have made me laugh if I wasn't scared of being shot.
