Using the RGB cable will only produce a RGB signal if its plugged into the correct scart socket on the TV.
Most SD tv's will only have 1 of the scart sockets as RGB enabled.
If you plug your lead into a non-rgb enabled scart socket, you will get S-Video signal.
S-Video is a lot better than the standard composite display.
RGB is the best though, so make sure you pick the correct scart socket on your tv.
