I got a set of these marathon winters from these guys and they are the nuts. They aren't great on loose snow, but for commuting on icy days, they really help. A couple of times I stopped at a junction, put my foot down and it slid under me - the bike was handling fine on the ice and I didn't notice it until my non-spiked shoes were on it!
