Who cares if there are a shit load of drugs there. There were no swarms of Manc and Scouse wankers, no-one i know was mugged. You NEVER felt threatened, if some fucker was staggering up to you, you knew he was after, a fag, a light, a peice a chewing gum or a blag. There was NO aggro, it was brilliant.
I was camping with a female friend who is, quite petite and quite pretty. She happily walked by herself, halfway across the site at 4am to meet some friends. A could of years ago, any group of lads with fewer than 5 people in it wouldn't have tried this. And even a group that size would have thought twice.
Eavis deserves a LOT of credit for making the festival safe.
