Must be quite unusual that, at the top of the table, first (Cardiff) and fourth (Brighton) are the only positions that are settled. We can't move up or down regardless of our result against Wolves today, but we still don't know |
- whether it'll be Hull or Watford who take the position immediately above us (I'd prefer the former, as I think they'd be easier to beat in the final if both they and Brighton make it that far);
- which of Palace, Bolton, or Forest will take the position immediately below us, and so play us in the semi (my tribal side wants Palace, but Forest would be most convenient for me as that match would be on the 9th instead of the 10th, and I have plans for the 10th which I'd have to cancel if Brighton are playing);
-and I think I'm right in saying any one of the three aforementioned teams plus Leicester could end up in the final playoff spot.
Certainly makes for in interesting afternoon for permutation nerds.
