Combat was actually the best thing about Final Fantasy XIII, or the most surprisingly good thing, at least. It was far superior to its predecessors in that regard. However, FFXIII did not leave me eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series, and it will probably be the last Final Fantasy game that I buy.
