Group members can be fucking stupid make no mistake, Ajay. I don't often leave my group to act automatically, even though I've tried on various occasions to sort tactics so that I can relax a bit.

I'm a mage with big area damage. Morrigan has a similar build. I take the dog to soak up hits and now shale, although he's swappable. They charge in and I basically bomb the area with my mages using affliction hex + storm of the century and cone of cold/shock when things get close (mind blast to run away).

It's a ridiculously volatile build - I die in seconds if I mess up my approach. But if I don't, I wipe even the biggest groups quite soundly.

There are probably hundreds of better group builds but it's about finding something for you. That's worked for me so far. My mage has done nearly half of my group's damage.
