I'm waiting for the demos, but neither have really grabbed me this year. I too went off PES after 5, but last year's was good (after a few months put it down to a decent price) and I thought FIFA 10 was slightly backwards from 09.
Having said that, I loved the World Cup 10 demo (I don't buy WC games tho), the problem with both games is that they're really just tweaking and polishing now - you only truly know how 'good' the changes are (and whether they really were 'worth' £40) after a lot of hours of playing em.
