    CDs are much, much better ... for the record companies and retailers. Cheap to make and ship, dont take up much shelfspace etc. I sold my turntable and most of my vinyl earlier in the year, mainly because I dont have enough space in my 1 bed flat. Plus, I'm lazy and MP3s are really handy and sound reasonable.

    Doesnt matter how high sample rates get, its still just a "sample", similar to how 1080p is crap compared to 35mm film.
