It wasn't a classic PPV by any means, and considering it was the last on ESPN, my motivation to sign up for BT Sport is significantly diminished.|
I pretty much agree with mcmothercruncher, it feels as though all the characters are slowly being replaced by indenti-kit athletes who are more likely to grind out a decision than display a fight-changing moment of genius.
Diaz is gone, Penn unlikely to return, and now Big Country out of contract. Only Pettis looks as though he has a style that might be worth paying to see.
If Weidmann beats Silva then I think the process will be more or less complete.
