    Yeah that's the nub of it. He knows what he's doing -- it stalls the opponent from moving forward.

    Measuring the distance of your opponent with your closed hand is fine, but not with your fingers sticking out. I'm surprised Miragliotta allowed him to keep doing it given the repeated warnings. He warned him early, then turned a blind eye to it for the rest of the fight.
