tbh I have no idea what all that means
I have used it for subtitled stuff though, although not necessarily in HD and/or streaming (I generally copy stuff over as my PS3 has a bigger HDD than either of my laptops).
It could all be fixed with a new firmware but it's not very likely that Sony even wants to add that kind of media support.
