So, what alternatives to ebay have popped up? Trying to sell my old phone there at the moment and a nigerian scammer grabbed it on Sunday night. I let ebay know and they told me to relist. I did so and the same scammer under a different name tried to buy it again. The username was almost identical - they had just incremented two digits. What's more, the username actually had 419 in it (the name of the nigerian scams!). Turns out there's a prevention method for it in the forums, but not in the help pages or suggested by the ebay user agents. I'm really annoyed by it all.
