Just as an update. I ended up trading this in at GAME of all places. They were offering £150 exchange on it which was only £3 less than CEX. PS3 Slims are a bit short on stock atm so I have the cash on a gift card ready for when they restock. But they took my ps3 with no mention of the missing warrenty sticker.
