As I understand it, games which are "well written" and use proper calls should pretty much just work (which is why Barbie Horse Adventures works - I don't imagine it was a priority), but some take advantage of shortcuts and quirks on the card. So theoretically the developer could help out to say what they did so it could be emulated. If they don't then the BC 'Ninjas' have to try and work it out and emulate it themselves. But I think it is totally at the mercy of the developer as to whether they help this process or not...
