there's something of a moral argument to make about the Icelandic savings accounts - if Northern Rock and B&B deposit holders are fully indemnified (which they are), then why not British depositors in Icesave? There is no difference to the duty of care the government owes, especially given its their inability to act which has precipitated some of the current crisis.
