An ex-neigbour of mine used to wash his car whenever he got home, no matter what time it was, what the weather was like or even if it didn't need washing.

My father-in-law is a complete nutter and has to clean (and I don't just mean a quick wipe) the kitchen whenever he gets home, before he goes out or after anyone uses it. He once finshed cleaning it, went into the garden to water somethingorother, came back in and cleaned it again. I wind him up sometimes by waiting for him to finish cleaning then helping myself to a glass of water so he has to do it all again.

As for me, I over-analyse things when I'm not doing anything. I try (without trying, it just happens) to think of every possible outcome so ficticious scenarios. No idea why but that's my bit of maddness.
