There was an interesting angle on this on one of the news channels earlier today.
They had a woman in a refuge who'd escaped from an abusive husband. The gist of it was that if the missing info got onto the internet at some point, it wouldnt just be people's money that would be at risk
God forbid it ever happens, but imagine if a disgruntled ex / stalker / general weirdo did get hold of that database and used it to track someone down
