Lack of self confidence as a nation.

Too much blame & accountability in society. We're always looking to criticise, point score or make a headline out of other people's perceived errors. How is anyone expected to make a sweeping political, social or economic change without facing a barrage of criticism from every media / political or chattering class arsehole that has an opinion.

Government bodies (nhs, teaching, police) are all stats and target obsessed now because of the pressure to constantly use set yardsticks and kpi's to prove they are 'performing.''

Towns and cities are all homogenous. Too many tescos, Starbucks, Sodexho run cafeterias and Wimpey/Cala home developments. No argument stands in the way of making money.
