After all that ticket pimping, I forgot to come back and post my impressions of the gig.|
Fantastic gig, basically. NIN were superb and played a really good selection of stuff - went completely mental when they played Down In It. 20,000 people singing Head Like A Hole and Hurt was pretty cool too. Numan joining them was the icing on the cake - he and Trent look like long-lost brothers these days.
Jane's Addiction were brilliant too, considering they had a half-empty arena to play to. Loads of old stuff, Farrell the consumate showman, Navarro with his shirt off 30 secs into the first song and a faithful acoustic rendition of Jane Says to finish.
Seats were perfect too - three rows from the front (first few rows unused), third of the way back from the stage, great view - even ended up sat next to a few friendly (and attractive) girls as an added bonus. Only pain in the arse was collecting the tickets (no option to have the pre-sale sent in the post) - what a fucking shambles that set-up is.
