David Cameron just said this has happened before....is he really trying to play it down? And I don't remember a Islamic beheading in the streets of Britain before, this is not like 7/7 if that's what he's referring to.
Well, not exactly that, but something like the Soho nail bomb was up there with this in terms of disturbing acts of terrorism. Throw other shit like, I dunno, Dunblane or Hungerford and you've got stuff in the same kind of ball-park.
Firstly, As soon as it's motivated by Islam that a billion people follow it can't be compared to a guy who had a spaz attack because he got accused of being a nonce(Dunblane) as that's isolated madness which will happen now and again. So today's event automatically gets put into a different category from Dunblane, Raul Moat, Hungerford, Derrick bird etc
So then it gets moved closer to the category of Madrid, 9/11, 7/7 etc....but then it's not comparable to those either as this was a beheading in the street in broad daylight in your country in your capital, yes only 1 guy died and loads died in the others, but it's not about how many died. this is a new chapter and a point I think we'll look back at as a warning sign.(not that we've not had enough already but they don't seem to make the government do anything)
It's something completely new and it's not a good sign, It's not comparable to anything that's gone before, and when David Cameron said that earlier I wanted to climb into the TV and strangle him.
Oh come on. That's just overblown alarmist rhetoric.
