The D12 *should* fit in most standard ATX cases, maybe check the measurements first. The fitting is rather simple - remove the old HSF bracket, attach the custom one, apply fresh thermal paste to a cleaned CPU, attach the new combo with the spring-loaded screws; tighten carefully.|
Static discharge is always a possibility but you should be okay if you ground yourself before handling parts. Just don't moonwalk over synthetic carpets.
