The backstabbing animation seemed a bit harder to pull off, you don't seem to get that 'click" when you're directly behind an opponent that you got in DkS. The backstabbing does have some invulnerability though which definitely saved my arse as FROM seem keen to swarm you in this. |
I hope the lighting thing doesn't appear too much in the final game, not keen on really dark areas and unlike some of you I never realised you could light a torch at the bonfire..? From the conversation with the merchant, I was getting a definite Tomb of the Giants vibe
It seemed harder to manage stamina here too, even base enemies could take most of the bar when attacking and some of the bigger enemies would stun lock me, no bother. I went with the Temple Knight who seems to have low endurance on reflection, but they seem to have separated out ENDurance and made a separate stat for AGIlity for movement speed and dodging attacks so choosing a character and where to put levelling points is going to get more difficult. The usual VITality, STR, DEX, RESistance (yawn) were still present and correct? I think the luck stat was back too, but I might have dreamt that...there were ten stats if I remember right and also Covenant things going on that were greyed out Way of Blue for the temple Knight.
There was a nice touch with an armour chest if anyone made the double jump across from the second? Bonfire.
All in all, I can't fucking wait to get hold of this and roll my own character.
