I don't think all videogames are necessarily addictive, but I can't help but feel that some games in particular are designed to feed on people's addictive personalities. In my opinion MMO's such as WOW definitely prey on this by giving you repetitive activities in which you are rewarded afterwards ( a glorified Skinner's box, basically). Even games such as COD take advantage of this, they are always giving you craploads of XP and shiny shiny rewards for the most trivial of things. |
OP I doubt you're addicted though and a lot of these people who claim that you're addicted are the very same people who overindulge themselves on TV/Football/Drinking every night anyway.
