I found the story to be highly frustrating, and ultimately not very good. Cage raises some really interesting ideas but then washes over them with something far less. Before the game released, he was talking about what would be revealed by the end of the game- basically, what lies 'beyond.' You never get that beyond a broad generalisation and isn't really developed. What you do get is something resembling a scene out of Terminator. While there are moments of genuine emotion around Jodie and her life, the whole thing bringing that together is poor. For something that is supposed to have a film like quality of narrative, it would make a poor film, and indeed- is bettered by many video games.|
Oh, and as it seems like the thing to point out, I loved Heavy Rain!
